How to play
JSokoban is a free, mobile-optimized Sokoban with a huge selection of 3,446 levels in 54 collections. Runs right in your browser on phone, tablet and PC: no app, no sign-up, no ads. Written in JavaScript by Folke Ashberg in 2003, relaunched in 2026.
Push all boxes onto the goal squares. Boxes can only be pushed, never pulled.
- Tap/click a free square: the man walks there. On an adjacent box: push it once.
- Drag the man or swipe and hold anywhere: he keeps walking until you let go.
- Pushing is always just one step, start again for the next one.
- Two fingers or mouse wheel: zoom and pan. Mouse: right button or Shift to pan.
- ✓ = solved, • = already played. Stored in this browser, together with the current game.
- 🪄 Hint (H): searches a solution from the current position. Then: Next move (shows the path as an arrow) or Play solution. Tells you when there is none any more.
- Keyboard: arrows, WASD or 8/4/6/2 · U, Ctrl+Z or Backspace: undo · H: hint · R: restart · N/P: next/previous level · M: menu · +/−/F: zoom
Your own levels
Paste levels in XSB format (the Sokoban standard) from the clipboard or load a file – or drop a file onto the window or press Ctrl+V at any time. They are kept in this browser and listed at the top of the menu.
